Measure the distance from your floor to wherever you want the light — a reading chair, desk edge, or wall. The curved stem lets you angle the head, so it fits tighter corners than a straight pole lamp. Is the base heavy enough that it won't tip over?Yes. The base is a solid weighted disc about 10″ across.
