What’s the base like — will it tip over?
The base is a flat 11.8″ diameter disc in black metal, weighted to sit stable. It won’t move once it’s placed. The slim stem makes it look delicate, but it’s built to stand without tipping.
How much light does it actually give?
It’s not bright task lighting. The glow pools down soft and warm from the glass stack, maybe 2–3 feet in diameter. Good for reading with an open book, or ambient light in a corner. See the Specifications for bulb details.
Can I swap between the 51″ and 63″ heights?
No — they’re two separate fixtures. The taller one (63″) works better in rooms with 9-foot or higher ceilings; the shorter (51″) fits standard 8-foot rooms without looming. Choose based on your ceiling and how much vertical space you want it to occupy.
Do the glass pieces come out, or is it one fixed stack?
The glass forms are stacked and held in place on the stem — not removable. They’re meant to stay as assembled. Dust by wiping each piece gently with a soft cloth.
