Altai Floor Lamp
Altai Floor Lamp
A taupe linen shade wraps a clear glass orb, suspended in a flat metal ring on a slim black metal stem with a weighted base. The light is warm and diffused — it bounces off the fabric and glass, so it reads soft without being dim. About 58″ tall, it sits comfortably in a living room corner or next to a reading chair without blocking sight lines.

Altai Table LampCommon Questions
How stable is the base, and does it wobble on carpet?
The weighted metal base is solid and sits flat. On carpet it’s stable; on hard floors you might want a mat underneath to keep it from sliding if you bump it. The stem is slim but doesn’t flex under normal use.
Can I use a larger bulb, or does it need a specific wattage?
See the Specifications for bulb details. The shade is linen and glass, so heat matters — an oversized bulb can discolor or damage the fabric over time. Stick with what’s specified.
Is the shade removable for cleaning?
The linen wraps the glass orb and is typically fixed. You can gently dust the exterior with a dry or barely damp cloth. Avoid soaking it or the glass ball itself.
What’s the cord length, and where does the switch sit?
See Specifications for exact cord length. The switch is usually on the cord or stem near the base, within easy reach when the lamp is standing beside furniture.
Will this lamp fit in a tight corner, or does it need clearance?
At 58″ tall with a 10″ diameter shade, it’s narrow and fits most corners. Leave at least 12″ of open space in front so the light spreads into the room and doesn’t just wash the wall behind it.
